Cell C putting 3 months payment relief as arrears instead of adding it to my terms left and then disconnecting my sim cards
My contract with cell c was put on payment relief in lock down. I requested this as I was not working due to our company still being closed. The first time requesting it I was told they don't do payment relief, however I can pay whatever amount on my account they will understand its lock down and people is not working so they can't disconnect my line as I'm a loyal payer. Two weeks later my line gets cut and I'm told that I need to pay the outstanding amount for them to reconnect it. I phone in and send mails and I barely get assisted till one day a gentleman contacts me saying they do offer payment relief why would they tell me they don't. I then get an email in june saying my account is on payment relief for three months, meaning for June, July and August. I sent an email to ask how it is going to work as I don't want any wrong information as this has been happening since the first request. No response. I phone in to the call centre and even they tell me it's for three months. That three months will be added to my initial terms left which means I now have three months extra to pay. Comes end August my line gets cut and they tell me my account is in arrears. I phone them and ask them how is my account in arrears if it was on payment relief and there I get a whole different story. Eventually my lines get reactivated and I pay as per normal thinking that they have solved the issue. My one contract was due for upgrade in October, but because of their poor service I decided to cancel my upgrade. The request for cancelation was put through and they asked me do I want the full month of benefits for November of must they cancel it the 6th. The person that phoned me says okay they will cancel it on the 30th seeing that they are billing me for a full month. Come the 6th they deactivate my contract and all my benefits fell away. Yet I still had to pay for the full month. When phoning in to the call centre they tell me it was never processed for the 30th. Yet I give them the dates of the mails that was sent to them and what I received from them. The funny part of it all is that their dates for mails does not even respond to the dates I have. Their dates is like a week later. And when speaking to the call center agent she couldn't even assist me. Monday whole day I'm trying to use my phone but nothing is happening. When I try to make a phone call there comes an automatic alert saying my line has been suspended. I eventually asked my colleague if I could use her phone to find out what is happening. I then get transferred from one department to the next to the next. Eventually a lady answers and as I explain to her she tells me my account has been suspended and been handed over to collections department. I asked her how that's possible if my account was for three months on payment relief she tells me she will get back to me now I must just hold the line. Eventually she comes back saying that due to my contract cancelation they have suspended my line and before they can activate it again I need to pay the outstanding balance before they can activate it again. I asked her how is that going to work as I still have one contract with them that I'm also paying she says she will speak to her team leader. Again I get out on hold. Few minutes later she comes back saying her team leader says that my account was on payment relief for 3 months yes. But I need to pay that outstanding balance to have my sim reactivated again. I asked her where must I get that amount and she says no you can pay it like you paying it now. I again asked her how is it that the three months payment relief is reflecting as arrears when that is supposed to be added to my initial terms left on each contract and she couldn't answer me. She just told me when we done talking she will speak to her team leader and he will get back to me. Up until now both my contact Sims is disconnected and I still haven't received any calls from them. Like how do you put someone's account in arrears when it was on payment relief? I can't do anything now because they have put that up as arrears and it is affecting my credit record. They have been giving me problems since the beginning of lock down and still going. I sent another mail yesterday and still no reply not even a reference number given. I don't know what to do. Please help

Two weeks back after posting on hello Peter about cell c and their poor service, immediately the next day I got contacted from their online complaintw department. Still I was the one being held liable for the wrong information being given by their own call center agents. After speaking to the one lady she eventually said she will let someone in the finance department phone me regarding the matter as she can't assist me. Few hours later, a lady phoned me regarding the matter. I spoke to her and explained to her what has happened and she said that they can look into the matter regarding the people that gave me wrong information. But in the end they should have told me that from September I had to pay more than my initial installment to bring that amount down. We spoke and she said that the best for me to do is to pay the one month's installment of the contract that's still active and then one full month's payment of the money that is still to be paid till end February, which means I must now pay R1400 plus from this month onwards. I still don't understand why I am being held liable for something they done wrong. Even after speaking to them, and telling them that I'll pay it like that, today I get another sms saying if the amount outstanding is not paid my service will be disconnected. So how are these people even doing their jobs right if they supposed to make notes of everything on their system to avoid any issues. Like really man. It is becoming more and more frustrating. And I'm at the point where I feel I can explode. I don't know what more to do with cell c
