I was very disappointed with manner Cell C Fibre division conducted themselves. I have been a Cell C fibre client for over a Year and my fibre service has been terminated because cell C did not collect my monthly payment. Cell has been collecting payment since inception and I have not defaulted until Cell C experienced Internal Debit order collection challenges a few months ago. My problem is:
No communication was provided by Cell C to me to inform me of their current challenges I only found out about this problem when I started experiencing WiFi challenges. I contacted cell c about the problem and I was told my service has been suspended because I have not made payment for four months. Cell C did not call me My frustration is why Cell C had to wait for four months to notify a client of non payment or call a client to understand why payment is not made. It is Cell C's responsibility to collect payment as they have been doing for over a year without fail. Now Cell C has internal debit order collection issues and now they have suspended my line. When I called them this week questioning the call centre agent what options do I have? I was told I have to pay for the 4 outstanding months before my WiFi is activated. I asked the Agent why cell c cannot continue with the service and divide the non collected amount over a 3 or 4 months as this was not my fault meaning I pay my monthly instalment including the arranged agreed amount on top of my monthly payment.. Cell C declined my advice and told me, they will only activate my service upon full payment.
I instructed the agent to immediately terminate my client because the reason this happened was Cell C's internal debit order collection challenges. She advised me to send an email cancelling my contract which I have not done, I am still looking at various Fibre providers pricing comparing to Cell C'S pricing . Cell C has been deducting from the same bank account on a certain date successfully until they started experiencing debit order challenges. Now , I am the one left without WiFi services. This is not how a business like Cell C should treat their clients and not even own up to their mistake. I did not cause the non payment, Cell C Finance department should be accountable. Four months with notifying a client and a phone call. I did not have a problem continuing with Cell C and I proposed to Cell C how we can make this work for both of us. They declined me. I am very disappointed in how Cell C treats their customers especially as a first time cell c fibre customer
