Cell C Pay as you go *********** the nation

<p>I recently acquired a pay as you go sim card to use as a double on my phone for business purposes. The pay as you go **** works as follows: let’s say you buy R200 airtime. You receive quite a few smsses with your airtime (lets say 40), this sounds great, but within 48 hours the smsses mysteriously disappear. I phoned the call centre and they blankly explained that this is how it works. Who sends 40 smsses in 2 days? You also get a few Meg data, but once this expires; your data is subtracted from your bought airtime at 79cents a Meg. This means that 1 gig costs R790!!!! Bought airtime also does not carry over to the next month. All of his leads to a person having to buy airtime over and over again as it depletes at an incredible rate. What I find sad about this is that most of the population that only use pay as you go are usually at a lower income bracket and therefore Cell C is ******** the impoverished masses, whilst claiming free benefits</p>
