Cell C offering deals they canot supply

<p>This is a follow up on a post i made last week. Where Cell C had not supp**** the phones we had ordered atfer 4 weeks of waiting. Numberous follow up went unanswered until i posted on Hellopeter. </p> <p> </p> <p>I was then contected by one of their agents who arranged a visit. It appears thet the phone we ordered were NOT available at the time we ordered them. Infact when advertised there were only about 50 phones available Nationally. We were told we would have to order new phones at a higher price. We then look on Cell C website and saw they were offering I Phone 5 at a good deal. When the agent checked their stock Nationally they had only 50 of these available. Now this was last week and today i checked their website and they are still offering these phones. I doubt they have any stock of these phones left but are still adverting them. Is this a case of get the order, delay delivery to the point where the custormer thinks "its only a few rand extra to get a better phone" and caves in rather than contiune to wait.</p> <p> </p> <p>The agent did our case up with the bosses at Cell C and verbally offered us the better phone on the same package we had signed up for.(We had signed up for the I Phone 6) However later in the day Cell C renaged on this verbal offer and offered us instead a few months "free" subscription. I decided that Cell C cannot be trusted to keep to their word and will instead allow our contract to expire and moveservice provider.</p> <p> </p> <p>What is worrying is that Cell C continue to offer what looks like good deals but dont have the phones to back up the deals. How many people sign up and wait as we did but unlike us cave in and accept another deal at a slightly higher price.</p> <p> </p> <p>The agent gave us the CEO email id but we are still waiting for a reply. I am not holding my breath.</p> <p> </p> <p>Is it legal to offer deals you cannot keep. Cell C just say read the T&C.</p>
