Cell C number cancelled erroneously, now Cell C won't help

Shocking customer service at Cell C. My father requested a contract number to be ported to prepaid, after which the service consultant cancelled the number. After calling and speaking to 6 different consultants, he was told to go in store where the number would be reactivated. In store, he was informed that he requires an affidavit as to why the number was cancelled when it was the Cell C consultant that erroneously cancelled the number. He's been shunted from pillar to post without any resolution. Absolutely shocking. Serves to reason that Cell C is busy falling to pieces.
