Cell C not willing to terminate a month yo month contract

On 6 Feb 2023 I informed Cell C that I no longer require the "month to month" contract I have with them and requested this be terminated. I received an automated response that my query will be dealt with. I received no further responses or contact from Cell C, yet they continued to debit my account. When I reversed the debit against my account, the Cell C accounts department duly contacted me to remind me that my account is in arrears. When I requested them to terminate my request they informed me that only the cancellations department can do so and that I need to contact them myself as the cancellations department does not phone customers. After numerous calls from the accounts department to remind me that I owe Cell C money, and no contact from the cancellations department, my account has now been handed over to Shapiro Shaik De Vries and Associates to collect some form of cancellation fee. I do believe that Cell C is attempting to take money from me that they are not entitled to as their did not execute my request to terminate my account. Cell C is most definitely not treating customers fairly, in fact they are attempting to enrich themselves. In addition to this, Shapiro Shaik De Vries and Associates refused to provide me with any and all personal information they have on record about me, which I believe is not in line with the right to know what information a company hold of you. I will never deal with Cell C again and will always ensure that I advise any person to not deal with Cell C
