Cell C not interested in ***** committed in their name.

Someone I know received a call a few weeks ago, pertaining to be from Cell C, and offering a reduced subsciption fee "as they renewed their contract recently, and are good customers". Foolishly she gave them her bank details and a stop order was put on her bank account,, which she is trying to cancel. Today I got the same call, from someone pertaining to be from The Product Shop ON BEHALF of Cell C from ***. Same story, so I asked "Are you from Cell C"? She said, yes, from the Product shop of behalf of Ce;ll C. I then said, "No, not on behalf of,, are you FROM Cell C, and they cut the call. I then phoned Cell C who told me to phone the ***** dept. Well, what a disappointment! Not interested. Basically told me Cell C always calls from an 084 number. How many people answer their cells without looking at the number? I then asked if they could message their customers and alert them to this ****, only to be told, "We do tell our customers not to give any details". Totally unconcerned for the undereducated, or older people who are more easily ****med. So disappointed in the so called ***** dept.
