CELL C not a good service provider081

CELL C hasnt resolved the incorrect billing done on my sisters name.

I am warning the public at large, stay away from Cell C. They will bill you incorrectly and not be available to assist you with anything. Empty promises and lots of negligence on their admin. Poor customer service and no business ethics at all.

The below was reported in August already, until today they are still fixing it. Run run run when you see Cell C.

y sister took a contract for P40 with CELL C in 2020 and upgraded to a Huawei Nova 8i in 2021. Contract's duration was 24 months, and it was supposed to end January 2021.

My sister paid the last instalment and was happy to have paid-up her phone. In April she gets a call from debt collectors without even a call from Cell C informing her of the outstanding bill.

The debt collectors couldn't explain the history or the reason for this billing. They were all about collecting the outstanding money.

My sister phoned Cell C and was told that the contract continued after the agreed 24 months. my sister asked the agent how come because the duration of the contract is 24 months, and she hasn't consented to continuing with the contract.

Who took that decision to continue with the contract without her consent? The Cell C agent told my sister that she should have written a cancellation letter one month before the contract ends. How ridiculous is that. Other service providers call you towards the end of the contract to ask if you'll continue or cancel but cell c decides for its clients, without giving the client a choice. No one can answer, Cell C will tell you on their side the account is closed, as it was already handed over. They cant even send you a statement or invoice as the account is closed on their system

Who protects the consumers from these vultures, its sad. My sister has now been listed on credit bureau without any statement or invoice notifying her of the debt

Cell c is a rip-off, run.

They are desperate for business, and they overcharge their existing clients unnecessarily.

Run 'don't take a contract with this service provider, no good business ethics and no customer service but just bad admin and gross negligence.
