Cell C non existend service

Three and a half years ago I took out a data contract with Cell C after verifying that they offered service in the rural town where I stay. They showed a 3G service was available. After receiving a router and SIM I could barely use their service as it was incredibly slow. I complained and 2 days later I was put on the Vodacom network. Vodacom was their roaming partner at the time. Then the service worked. Since then I upgraded the contract to more data and had a working service until the evening of 1st August 2019. From around November/December 2019 we were even on a 4G service. Suddenly, on this evening things just went bust. When I checked the router I could see a 4G service available but you can only connect to 3G or 2G. Down load speeds are around 0.02MB/s and upload around 0.01MB/s. I have complained and phoned them daily for the first 2 weeks. All I got was sorry, we cannot tell you when this problem will be solved. In the meantime they still collect their R539.01 for my non existing service. It has now been more than 5 weeks and I had to take out a new contract with Vodacom as I need internet to generate an income. I was told that there is a problem with data contract signal. Please. What stupid excuse is this? I asked Customer Care if I can stop paying for this data contract until the problem has been solved and was told that, even though they cannot give me any information about the problem, I should continue to pay my contract or face blacklisting. So, I must pay for my contract, even though they cannot provide a service, or face blacklisting. This is breach of contract on their part. I asked if they would consider terminating the contract seeing as there is no service. I was told that the 'service' could be stopped and the contract terminated IF I pay about R1100.00. If I do not pay my account I get in trouble. If they do not provide a service, I am still in trouble. So it seems a one way street against me!! What a ****ty company.
