Cell C misleads customers once again- after reassurance that bad service will not be received, Cell C still disappoints and over charges

on the 26th of September 2019 at 11:38 I was sent an sms by Cell C stating: "Dear Valued Customer, we are simplifying our product offerings and removing some old plans. your current plan Pinnacle Unlimited will change to the Pinnacle Premium 10GB by 31-Oct-19 for a decreased subscription of R1049 but giving you the benefits of 3000 Mins, 10 GB data, and 3000 SMSs." I then noticed that my monthly mins, smses and monthly subscription did not change as per communications as I was happy with the decrease in mins and smses. on the 6th of December 2019 I then attempted calling the Cell C customer care- 5 times, 4 times of which I was cut off. on the 5th time we did speak to an agent from the customer service department (14mins and 1sec duration of call). explained my reason for call and was asked to hold the line while she consults with her manager. agent then advised that her manager has confirmed that the Pinnacle Unlimited plan was not changed- we disputed this as no other comms was sent to us which she acknowledged and said she apologizes for this as it was an error- an error of R500 difference in a customer's bill? then went on to advise that I am going to be posting this on Hello Peter due to the fact that as I customer I was sent a reduced tariff amount which needs to be applicable even when I do renew my plan. agent then reconfirmed that unfortunately there was no comms sent to confirm that there was no change (please listen to the call recording) she then advised that this will be escalated and an sms was received on the same after noon (6th Dec '19 at 16:38) advising "we have received your query and will attend to it shortly. "your reference no is: 912*60*62*. An SMS will be sent to you when your query is resolved. Cell C". my outstanding amount for November is R1868.49 which should be R1368.49 as per communications. do not lie to customer's and not send through communications. my monthly charge needs to be changed as per agreement and communication made by Cell C and when I renew my plan on the Pinnacle Unlimited the month charge needs to be R1049

Reviewer Update
please refer to my December 2019 statement. this information that you're providing is incorrect,

there has been no changes to my account and I have never paid separately for my device. please read the sms communication sent through to myself- there has been no changes to my monthly charge, minutes, smses or data- no changes at all. please also listen to the call recording where your employee has confirmed that there were no changes on my account as well as a team leader made the changes- I have always paid the monthly subscription of R1500 since signing up for the pinnacle unlimited- my statement even states the name of the plan being pinnacle unlimited and not Pinnacle Premium as communicated,

this needs to be rectified immediately as I have all the details and communication from CellC. my current bill and future bills needs to be amended as per communications (SMS confirmation & contact centre confirmation),

if this is not resolved I will contact the Ombudsman and consumer watch.

Hi

You have never been charged separately for your device, we're merely breaking down the charges for you.

We will have one of our consultants contact you.
