Cell C Migrates to ZERO coverage for Contracted pre-paid customers
WHAT have you done?
You drop a functioning network, swop (pre-paid) contract clients, of which I have been a LOYAL pre-paid subscriber the past TWENTY years and automatically migrate me onto Vodacom network.
There is PATHETIC Vodacom coverage here in Simon's Town. (MTN have good 4G here !)
Since Dec 2020 already, but past three weeks been DEAD, I now can't make calls (other than WiFi cant access any of my contracted Data, despite my Roaming ALWAYS being on.
Local Cell C shop in LongBeach says to call your numbers, and there is absolutely ZERO help, info or resolve, mere passing the buck along, try cancel your cotract...
Cell C all too happy to keep deducting my monthly subscription as pre-paid customer all the while giving ZERO service and shrugging off pathetic coverage.
This is obviously UNACCEPTABLE !!
Thank you for reaching out to us.

YES PLEASE do, thanks for your prompt response here on HelloPeter...
My cell number is ***
Please ensure thorough investigation, as EACH call I try make nowadays rings only once ! on the second ring, it DIES!
On the tele-consultants advice i have ENSURED my Samsung Galaxy device is updated with CURRENT Android operating system, so no device errors>
My Network selection has also been (as suggested) set to manual Selection to Vodacom. BUT that is ZERO signal here in Simon's Town. so reverted back to automatic selection.
When i drive around in the Cape it takes forever to find (authorised) network and i need to remain STATIONARY for at least 5 Minutes for me to connect and be able to make a cellular call.
Oh yes SADLY no data coverage on that VROT Vodacom network hereabouts too!
PLEASE get a KNOWLEDGABLE Techie to call me after doing a 100% thorough Migration Verification test on my SIM, in this PROBLEM area, as MANY similar migrated cell C customers here are CRYING and also going to be cancelling their contracts asap.
Regards
Joe P Kramer
