Cell c made my life miserable !

Hello peter , cell c is the most frustrating company i ever been a customer at, in 2014, i had 2contracts with them, of which i paid up and they called me to upgrade by taking another two cellphones. I refused because i was still a student earning only a stipend of 2000 a month, but they did a ***** under my name and said i took two cellphones as a upgrade again. I had to pay for those cellphones but i refused and changed my bank account and asked them to work the matter out. They failed, although they gave me a case number but there was no feed back concerning the case, if you call them they will make you hold for almost an hour transferring you from pillar to post with no help at the end. Finally when i got a job last year january and went to fnb bank for home loan, i found that i was handed over to debt reviewers by cell c and they stated that i owed them 18700,00. I was so fustrated!!! I tried to call them but they could not help me instead they even closed my number so that it doesnt work. I had to change my cellphone number and all. Ok then some one told me about edta ( consumer protection services)in pietermaritzburg, i wrote to them lastyear and told them the whole storry, of which they were verry helpfull to me, they contacted cell c and gave me feed back from cell c that they have resolved the matter by withdrawing the case and contacting all the credit berues to clear my name, but i needed to pay them 1870.00, of which im not sure what is it for. From lastyear im trying to call them because my name is still under debt review and i can not be approved for credits in the banks. Everytime i call them they transfer me to legal department wher i will be put on hold for almost 30minutes with no answer. When i call this department directly from my cell phone on the number they gave me which starts with 084 and end with 9200, there is no answer as well, i holded for almost an hour. My life is miserable and fustrating because of cell c !!! Yet i dont owe them any cent, please help me
