Cell c LTE not recommended
I am on the 100G Cell c wireless LTE, signed up a couple of months back and was grate and all, for the last 2 months I am struggling to get the internet speed that I use to get of 15mbps to 25mbps, I’m currently hosted by Afrihost but they have been no help whatsoever. contacted them several times and all they do is refresh the line ( which does nothing to the internet speed) or log in to the router an change setting, also unhelpful, Contacted and logged a formal ticked with Cell c but it has been more than 2 weeks now with no feedback of any kind, very frustrating as for I only stream TV and all content is in bad quality due to slow internet, not to mention I can’t even finish my DATA before the month end due to slow internet, so my question is why do I need to pay for 100G if I only manage to use 30G in a month? and if there is any challenges from Cell c that the towers is over congested why not inform the clients of such or better alternatives within their scope of service. If anyone can help, I will gladly appreciate it as I have tried many service providers for home internet, all is quick to get you started and after a few months of use the service delivery tend to take a turn for the worse. (No support, slow internet ext.)
Thank you for contacting Cell C.
Please liaise with your direct SP which is Afrihost, they will log a network ticket for you.

Best regards,
I have done that, and ultimately Cell c is not providing a service that was promised, with speeds up to 0.24mbps (MAX) is unacceptable, Afrihost claims the issue is with Cell c, I have escalated the matter to Cell c via Afrihost and no response within 2 weeks?? and now Cell c claims the issue is with Afrihost??
This is the third internet provider with the same problem, all internet providers is useless!!!

"Hi Wynand
Trust you are well.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the questionnaire.
We apologize for the delayed feedback.
Cell C have reverted to us and advised they visited the area and tested and did not pick up any issues.
Not sure if you have tried the below on the router settings
1. Log onto the router (open a web browser type 192.168.8.1) and click settings
2.Username: ***** and password: admin or Username: admin Password: ***********
3. Select Dial-up
4.Select Network settings
5. Preferred Mode should be set to 4G only or 4G 1800
6. Apply
Please try that and see if that will help if you haven't
Hope that will assist.
Thank you"
which is useless information as i tried it a million times with no bettering results.
Also they will not come or suggest a better solution.
So sick and tired of lost and hopeless internet providers promises.
