So in December 2018 i phoned Cell C for a data contract. The lady on the phone advised that their was a LTE-A deal that was on special. The deal was for R469.00pm and you receive 100 gigs of anytime data. I went ahead with the contract as a thought it was a good deal and i needed the services urgently. I signed the contract and sent all the necessary info that they requested from me. Everything worked perfectly and their was never a problem. On the 24 April 2019 all my services suddenly went down. I thought it was a normal network problem which does happen from time to time but 2 days later with still no service and red lights showing on my router i decided to contact the call centre. The call centre advised that my call will be logged and that someone form their technical department would give me a call. About 2 days later i received my first call. They advised me that they are not sure what the problem. She advised i need to please check a couple of things on the router - so i had to make a special arrangement to get home from work so that they could assist. I had to leave work a couple of times for this. After resetting the router removing the sim card from the router, logging into the router and changing the settings manually, nothing worked. This went on for about a week where someone would call me and advise i please need to go home and check on the router - All this to no avail. I did not hear from Cell C for about another week. Last week after trying to phone them to find out what was happening. I eventually gave up on this as i was put on hold every time and waited for about an hour each time being put from one department to the next. I eventually got fed up and hung up the phone. Later that day i received a call from the technical support team again. They advised me that the LTE-A feature is no longer supported in my area (This is after it was sold to me in December as a contract deal.) They advised me that i now need to be migrated too the normal LTE contract - which i had no problem with as long as it was done quickly as i had now been sitting with no services for almost 2 weeks and was spending money on buying data for my pre paid simcard. Firstly i was told too buy two new cell c sim cards - which i did. They phoned later that evening after i had purchased the new sim cards and advised that they will now do i sim swop so that i can at least use my services until the migration is completed. The sim swop was also a fail and did not work. Once again for the rest of last week i received no feedback. This morning the 06/05/2019 i phoned them again. Once again after almost 2 hours holding on the line and being transferred from one department to the next i got hold of someone who tried to assist. They advised that the technical team had now re routed my query back to back office. I advised the friendly lady on the line that i am paying for this service/contract and i still have no service for 3 weeks now. She advised that i just had to wait( Which i now have been doing for the past 3 weeks.) I said to her this has been going on for the past 3 weeks, it is a contract which i pay for very month, and i have to now buy between 1-2 gigs per day to load onto my pre paid sim card just to have internet which we use a lot of at home. All she could say was that she apologizes but it is again with back office and i need to wait. My point which i was trying to get through to her was that i have signed a contract with your company CELL C where you offer me a service that i pay for every month. It has now almost been a month with no service yet i am still paying. It is also costing me an arm and a leg to load data onto my pre paid sim card so that i have internet that i can use at home. After my phone call today i found out that the normal LTE deal for the same amount of data is 3x the price of what i am currently paying with my existing contract. Till today no one can give me a straight answer as to what is happening and how long this is going to take and so to what are the options we have. Almost 3 weeks later and at a cost to me i am still paying for a service which i do not have. I am also spending my own money for data everyday as my service is not working and i rely heavily on internet at home. Til today i have not received concrete feedback or advice, talking to different people on the call centre every time i phone for an update - one more confused than the other. I am not normally one to complain and have tons of patience, but if i am paying for a service that i do not have - which i have not had for 3 weeks and now also have to spend additional funds due to my service which i signed a contract for, where i receive no feedback, nor do i receive any advice, nor can anyone tell me what is happening and where this is going and so too what needs to be done - i find this absolutely ridiculous, and i refuse to be migrated to another package where i need to now pay more. My contract was R469pm for 100 gigs of data per month. That is what was sold to me and that is what i signed for.
