Cell C lies and deception

Cell C Home Flexi LTE bundle used to be 61 days. Now it's suddenly 30. And when I complained to Customer Service they said it's only ever been 30 days. WHICH IS AN ABSOLUTE LIE!!!! I bought a 1TB Flexi Bundle on 03 Sept 2021 which I rolled over after 60 days to get me all the way through to 27 Nov before the data finally ran out. That's basically 3 months. Now this last bundle from 27 Nov suddenly expired in the middle of the night 27 Dec without warning. That's 30 days. And Customer Care is just like 'tough luck' we can't roll over expired data. SO I want to know *** happened and when the bundles switched over from 61 days to 30 days? It's unacceptable... I bought 1TB of data and only got maybe 300GB value for R899. Cell C didn't give me adequate fair warning. Then ****** me. Then **** to me about the length of their Home Flexi LTE bundles when I have the bank statements to prove when I loaded the airtime to buy the data. DON'T TRUST CELL C!!!

Good day Matthew

Thank you for contacting us.

The Home Connecta validity has been amended to 30 days as of 15 October.

You do however have an option to roll over your data for a further 30 days  by dialing *147# from 5 days before your expiry date.

Best regards,

Surely you can do something about rolling over the data for me since you altered your policy and I'm now stuck without data. There must be some way that you can help me. I can't afford more data and I really didn't get proper value out of the Flexi 1TB. I used maybe only a third of that data. Please.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do when the data has expired.

Way to go Cell C Customer Care. Thank you for not giving a sh*t about your clients. I guess that's why 95% of your reviews are 2 stars or less. Apparently your approach to online reputation management is the same as to you servicing your clients... a big fat middle finger.

Maybe if you showed a little consideration to better management and keeping your clients satisfied you wouldn't be posting billions of Rands of losses every year. It's absolutely stupifying.
