Cell C is *********

I wanted to cancel my contract with Cell C, They told me I can only cancel it at a certain time otherwise I'll pay a cancelation fee. This baffled me because my contract with them is a month to month. Meaning I can cancel it any time without paying no cancelation fee and that is why i had chosen a month to month because I did not want to be tied to certain contracts. Cell C changed the terms and conditions of my contract without me signing anything. They told me they had sent me an sms letting me know of the changes. However I never saw or read that sms. (Who reads smses this day and age) They than charged me R600+ for the cancelation regardless of the fact that i had called within thier specified time. I resent that because the reason I was told to call at a specific time was to avoid the cancelation fee.

I don't appreciate that Cell C can just decide to do changes on a contract without my agreement. I don't appreciate that Cell C going bankrupt they decide to do ********* things to make up for thier bankruptcy. I need Cell C to take thier R248 which is the premium we agreed upon and refund me the rest. Then cancel the damn contract. The consumer protection act doesn't allow for the service provider to do changes without informing the customer.

Details of the initial call, The agent assured me i wouldn't be paying anything cancelation fees.
