Cell c is ripping me off

I have had the worst experience and still facing an ongoing battle with Cell c. I've been a loyal customer for as long as I had my contract. I have taken a phone out on contract. My contract would have been finished next year March, however I was able to save and in June this year I was able to pay my contract up in full in advance. I was given the banking detail as well as the outstanding amount and a reference number to use when making the payment and once I was done to email the proof to the necessary email address they provided. I was also told to call 2-3days later to the retention department to then cancel the contract. I did all everything that I was told to do.. About 2 months later I went into a cell c store just to ask if I would qualify for a laptop because I'm will be starting my studies. Only to be told that my funds was never allocated and my contract was never canceled and I'm currently in arrears. Since that day I've been on the phone will Cell c non stop. I've spoken to so many consultants regarding this ongoing case. About 2-3 weeks ago after so much persistence I finally received a call from cell c that my funds were allocated but I needed to pay a cancellation fee of which I did. Same process after paying the money I sent the proof to them and it was done. Today I went back to cell c hoping to get a laptop as I really need it for my studies. Only to find out yet again that NO FUNDS WERE ALLOCATED INCLUDING THE CANCELLATION FEE THIS CONSULTANT REQUESTED!!. I am now 4months in arrears. I have all the proof of what I had to do from my side. Every little detail I have kept as evidence. Why is it so had to allocate my funds if I used the necessary reference and correct banking details??. I am highly upset as I've been so patient but I feel this has gone to far as we all work hard for our money and to hear they it's was then wasn't allocated is messed up. Cell c is such a huge disappointment
