Cell C is opening ********** accounts, and then hand you over because you don't pay it.

We were being charged for a contract that we didn't have. We have disputed this contract hundreds of times. We made numerous phone calls and went into the store. The store manager said that he can see the contract was never used, and that we need to fill in a police affidavit, then they will handle it. We filled in a police affidavit, as per the store manager, and everything was submitted to Cell C on the 11th of June 2020. But STILL, they have handed us over to debt collectors without any feedback regarding the dispute letter sent on the 11th of June.

On the 30th of November 2020, we received an email from Cell C where they CONFIRMED that it is a ********** account and it has been closed.

So after that email, we started getting demand letters from another debt collecting agency. I have emailed Cell C again on the 15th of December 2020, attaching all correspondence from Cell C where they admitted the account was **********. Nothing came from it. We now sit with a bad credit rating because of this. We can't even get another cellphone contract, because we have bad credit. I have emailed them again on the 4th of January 2021 so that they can fix the problem that THEY HAVE CREATED. No response. I tried phoning them. No help either. Being transferred from one person to the next.

30 April 2021, we received a FINAL DEMAND letter for this ********** account. I have sent yet ANOTHER email with all correspondence to Cell C. The store manager also got involved and sent emails. No response.

Now it is time to upgrade my existing contract. Cell C phones me almost every day to upgrade. I tried, but I can't even upgrade my contract at Cell C, because of the bad credit, that Cell C has caused.

I am fed up with Cell C. Even now, I get emails every month from Norman Bissett & Associates to collect money. How is it that even after Cell C has admitted that it was a ********** account, I still have to deal with this!? Sitting with bad credit, because Cell C is USELESS and *********** to sort out **** that THEY have caused.

Can someone please get back to me regarding this!?
