Cell C is not a network that anyone should take, very bad customer service

Yesterday 31/10/23 I was ****** and my phone was ******. I called cell c to ask them to track my it since its on contract, they said they can't but blocked and blacklisted the phone. The 1st thing that I couldn't understand is how don't they have a no way of tracking their own phone? 2nd they dont want to replace the phone that was ******. I thought all contracts came with an insurance but they say it doesn't. If that was an option why wasn't I offered this when the sales was done? The phone that was ****** had a lot of personal data and I'm defeated because of this now they expect me to pay R300 for the next 24 months for something that I dont have? I tried to came up with a solution for them to change my contract to a double deal but instead of giving me 2 phones they'll give me 1 but the customer ladies were nothing but rude to and said no. I did a sim swap and my phone wast working but they didn't think that they have to open my line again 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Can someone at cell c that will/can come up with a better resolution call me cos I'm not gonna pay for another R300 new contract(R300x2). Its a big tragedy/ trauma what I'm going through yet cell c is adding salt on my very fresh wound. I'd rather have my credit score affected than to allow this debit order to proceed taking my hard earned money

Dear Elizabeth Mothibe,

Kindly note that we do not track phones but in such instances we do assist with blocking the device, number in question and doing a SIM swap. Having your device replaced would depend on whether the lost device was insured or not as you have an option of adding your own insurer.

Our support team will contact you and provide clarity regarding this matter.

That doesn't help me with anything, your respose doesn't touch my current problem at the moment. Basically you didn't reply at all.

I'm sure you can use a different number to call me cos the other number might be flagged as spam on this phone I'm using

I just received a call from cell c telling me they are sorry🤷♀️ how is "SORRY" gonna help me? They are offering me another contract. Am I that stupid to pay R600(2 contracts) for one samsung not even iphone. Cell c is full of bull sh*&. Customer service is non existent .I'm asking kindly not to call me if you don't have a resolution that makezms sense. Since Wednesday I wasn't going to work, thats how badly this has affected me. I'll keep making noise till someone with a brain hears and understand me

We regret that your experience with us was unsatisfactory and fell short of our customer service standards

A replacement phone is only available if the original device was insured. Unfortunately, we cannot add an additional device to an existing contract.

An alternative option is to apply for a new contract, pending approval through our credit vetting process.

The fact that it wasn't insured isn't my fault. The sales person never offered me that. I thought all contract phones were insured since we're paying more than the cash price. I haven't had a phone contract for more than 20yrs and that time the phone came insured automatically. I will take this further even if I have to go to ombudsmen I will. I wasn't offerd insurance and I'm not gonna suffer because of your sales people and Cindy from your cuctomer care will be reported too
