Cell c is a ****

I have been sent statement which was sent to me by cell c stating that i owe you an amount of R31,956.48..

This is not true!! I am disputing this figure and requesting that you recalculate this figure..

I entered into a 24month contract with cell c from 08/01/2022 and agreed to pay an amount of R699 for mobile number ‪***‬(agreement number:‪***‬) and an amount of R649.00 for mobile number ‪***‬(agreement number:‪***‬), altogether this amounts to R1348 because this is all i could afford according to my affordability.

On 28 January 2022 cell c debited an amount of R599. 00. 28 February 2022 cell c debited an amount of R2128. 34. 28 April 2022 cell c debited an amount of R1623. 00. 28 May 2022 cell debited an amount of R1800. 00 28 June 2022 cell c debited an amount of R1948. 02

If you can see that all these amounts are fluctuating month by month and during this time i contacted cell c to stop debiting amounts that where not agreed upon as this is affecting my other debit orders with my creditors but this never stopped..

Cell c then continued to debit R1948. 05 on 28 July 2022, i then reversed the debit order on 29 June 2022 until to date bcuz even after countless phone call interactions with cell representatives /call center agents the problem still persisted.

And now you are claiming that i am owing the above mentioned amount.. This is indeed ridiculous!!

Adding all the amounts that i have paid cell c so far, it amounts to R8099.08.

We had a 24 months contract and in total the money that i was obliged to pay cell was R22,121.32 when combining all the installments that where due for payment..

Therefore i owe cell c an amount of R14.022,24 which i am prepared to pay not the amount mentioned on the above statement..

I have to further emphasize that i will not pay the amount of R31, 956.48.

Cell c has infact bridged the contract we had by debiting more than the agreed amount without even having the decency to inform me and even worst, debiting money which i cannot afford.. This is wrong and ********. I have still not received a response from cell c regardless of all the emails which i have sent.. Instead you are affecting my credit score negetively..

Cell c platforms are very poor and not at all helpful.. I regret ever taking a contract with cell c
