CELL C INSURE REALLY
ON 23 Jun 2021, 13:25 I WROTE
Cellc is great BUT My phone was ****** in Feb (23/24) I got home and realized that my phone is not in my bag. I thought it is at work. The next day (24th) I phoned and blocked my phone after work as I am not allowed to make calls from work. About three weeks later I asked if there is a time limit on when to submit a claim and was told as long as the phone was blocked in 24 hours(which was done) I asked for a claim form to be sent. About two weak later I got the opportunity to report the phone to the police, Still, didnt get a claim form. Two calls later I eventually received claim forms and submitted a claim. I was asked to submit my claim 8 times, After waiting for almost three weeks I decided to call them. I was told that I need to write a letter about why I claimed late which I did. Then I waited and eventually followed up again to be told I need another affidavit of what happened to my phone. All these details were given to the call centre, which is on my claim form and police statement. I feel this is a tactic to drag out the claim to reject it. Why do you even ensure phones then? I am unable to take off work as I am temping so I have not made the affidavit yet. Not sure when I'll be able to. REALLY FRUSTRATED
ON 11 Jul 2021, 17:00 I ADDED So after making a mission to make an affidavit and send it in I am now told I was short-billed with R780. No statement, no explanation. So I must pay R780 and then they will assess my claim and pay the excess. Makes no sense to me.
TODAY I AM ASKING WHY IS THE ONLY RESPONSE STILL TO PAY R780 FIRST WITH NO OTHER FEEDBACK.
Thank you for contacting Cell C.
