Cell C has become excessively expensive
I changed to Cell C years ago when they brought out their competitive pricing to shake up the market. At the time many promises were made - most of which have been broken. International calls used to be 89c per minute to many countries. No longer - and with no warning to customers using their international service. Belgium used ot be 89c/minute - suddenly it is R2.99/minute, a 239% increase. That should be ********. I have just been subjected to 99c/MB out of bundle charges. Luckily I only had R85 credit which got used in a flash. I called customer service to request that my account not be allowed to use airtime credit for data. Unsurprisingly their system cannot be configured like that - well I am sure it can be but they will not do it as it is better to ***** from their customers than to customise their settings to prevent issues like I just experienced. I have proably got about 20 friends and family to change to Cell C the past couple of years. I will no longer be an marketing customer of theirs. From now on it will all be negative about Cell C. I suggest you configure your system to allow a customer to set whether or not they want airtime used for your ******** data charges.
