Cell C – Harassment-Level Follow-Ups After Contract Expiry & Ongoing Unprofessional Conduct
I am now beyond frustrated with Cell C’s complete lack of internal communication and professionalism.
My contract expired on the 17th of this month. Prior to that, I went through multiple channels — emails and HelloPeter posts — to ensure that my contract would be cancelled and moved to prepaid, which Cell C acknowledged and confirmed.
Despite this, I continue to receive irrelevant and unsolicited “renewal/upgrade” emails.
The latest example (today) from: Miguel De Freitas (Contractor) – ***
Message received: “Kindly note that your contract is due for renewal. If you are interested respond to this email and I will contact you”
This is not just poor service anymore — it is bordering on harassment.
Let’s be clear:
My contract has already EXPIRED Cancellation was already CONFIRMED by Cell C I have repeatedly stated that I do NOT want to renew
Yet your teams (including franchise/contractor staff) continue to send generic, irrelevant emails with:
No awareness of customer history No professionalism in communication No coordination between departments
This reflects very poorly on Cell C as an organization. It shows a systemic issue — not an isolated incident.
To Cell C management: You need to urgently address:
Internal communication breakdowns between departments and franchises The quality and professionalism of customer-facing communication The continued sending of irrelevant communications after clear instructions and confirmed cancellations
To the public: Be prepared to repeat yourself multiple times and still receive irrelevant follow-ups. This has been my consistent experience.
At this point, I expect:
Immediate confirmation that ALL marketing/renewal communication to me has been stopped Assurance that my account is correctly set to prepaid with no further contract-related contact
This entire experience has been unnecessarily frustrating and reflects a serious lack of customer respect.
Very disappointing.
