Cell C gives you faulty devices - an no real assistance from them. Save your self the headache.

I recently took out a contract with Cell C all was okay until the device stopped charging because of 'moisture' detected (mind you that notification popped up on screen while i had my phone in my hand). I returned the phone and about 8/9 working days later i was informed they will not be able to repair my phone and i was given credit (which is significantly lower than the device i had first chosen). I asked what could be done and the store had no idea so i called the call center to tell them that rather they cancel the contract if they're going to insult my intelligence and i will get another contract (fore I cannot be paying my normal installment for a cheaper phone - and the phone I was given was already faulty). The first guy from the call center said it would take 2 working days to get it cancelled. The second lady said check tomorrow. I checked the consultant tells me 30 days then another says 2-3 days. So which consultant should I trust. As now i am sitting here its been 3 weeks without a phone (Mind you I'm paying for something I do not have). There seems to be confusion between their call centers and stores. And no one knows what do!!! Im annoyed as I cant take an additional contract untill i know if this one has been cancelled. I'm basically a sitting duck with no form of communication with anyone.

Was the device taken back and from which store? Is there any documentation you were provided with?  ^NH
