Cell C gives me a runaround

Cell C is denying that I tendered my notice of termination on 26 Feb at 11h01, yet I spoke to their Ntombi. Their Asanda promised me that my cancellation was guaranteed if I paid my arrears of R4441.16 which I paid on 29 March.

Cell C, have mercy on me. It's been too much. Please let me go.

Hi Zukisa

We will assist you with this matter but we'll listen to the call recordings first then assist accordingly. Remember as per the terms and conditions there is a notice period of a written notice or notice in any other recorded form of your intention to cancel the agreement.

Regards

Cell C | PN

Indeed I received a call from Boitumelo who was ready to offer me a cheaper contract. I declined as all I needed was to cut ties after reading other Hellopeter reports. We agreed that the contract was to be terminated by midnight as I had already been billed. She promised to convey same to night staff but at about 21h00, Cell C cut me off from data, text and calls. This was after I had paid R4441.16 by EFT.

Yesterday, Cell C went ahead and debited my accountwith R4441. It's not clear why they stole my money when I had noticed them by 26 Feb of my intention to end the contract.

Today is my birthday and I had plans with that money and I get such a gift from them.

Who will pay for the bank charges as they do in and out into my account with no authorisation?

How will I pay for my birthday goodies if they cling to my money?

They stole my data, text, calls and now my money. How far low can they stoop?

I am currently at the Vincent Cell C shop and I am being helped by Ziyanda. She called their TPHD and sloke to Palesa who needs me to bring them a bank statement showing that the money was debited. She also needs my ID copy and proof of payment. This is despite the fact that she told Ziyanda that she sees a credit of R4441.16 on my account. Alternatively I have to go and do a reversal at FNB.

Will Cell C foot the bill of all this? Why is there so much drama for them to do the right thing?
