Cell C **********

I’m very dissatisfied with the service that I received from cell c. I had 2 contract phones from cell c of which my contract ended in March and I’ve been paying for them since cause I didn’t know my contract with them ended and they continued deducting money from my account without my consent. Cell C is telling me I have to continue paying until June as I have only given them short notice but then no one explained to me that I had to call in , I signed a 24 months contract I expected it to end as per our contract agreement or someone from cell c should have notified me to call and cancel that contracts don’t end automatically. It is unfortunate that I can no longer afford to pay them due to this Pandemic that has befallen the country.

Hi Emmah

In line with the terms and conditions of the subscriber agreement, you are required to provide a calendar month notice in order to have your contract canceled on its maturity date.

If this agreement is not cancelled during the contract period or on expiry of the contract period and is not renewed, then this agreement will run for
the contract period and then on a month-to-month basis until the agreement is cancelled.

I understand that I had to give a calendar month notice. I have no problem paying this month 25 May but what I don’t get is Why do I have to pay for 25 June as well, I have already canceled the contract which according to your policies it will end 11 June. Why then do I still need to pay for 25 June debit. I’ve been your loyal customer for many years and I feel the Cell C had really treated me unfairly and I feel like I’m being ****med.
