Cell C ***** and Terrible Customer Service
I noticed a R70 debit order against my bank account labelled Cell C at the end of February. Seeing as I have no contracts with Cell C, I immediately knew this was *****. I disputed the debit order through FNB and get my money back. I then called Cell C to inform them that there was a contract in my name that was *****ulant. The lady that helped me stated that the contract has been cancelled and the case has been given to the ***** department. I thought that was the end of it. Two months later, luckily I noticed the R1100 debit order that went of end of March. I disputed this with FNB and got my money back. But every dispute costs money, and damages my credit score. I then spent an hour on the phone, spoke to multiple call centre agents and got absolutely nowhere. How am I supposed to pass a security check for an account in my name when I didn't create the account. I also have not been provided any reference numbers for my account, or my ***** case. I have sent my affidavit, bank statement and copy of my ID to the ***** email address. I am now waiting for them to get back to me. But I know for sure, I will have to dispute another debit against my account in a few days when the month ends.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT A COMPANY ALLOWS FOR SO MUCH *****!
Why was no due diligence done to make sure the client is who they say they are. I did not have a contract with Cell C. This ********* was not adding a contract to an existing account. Somone managed to open a new account, in MY name, and Cell C allowed for it.
THIS IS DISGUSTING.
Sort your **** out Cell C.
I have now forwarded my email to the address you supp****.
If I do not receive a call tomorrow regarding this, I will be sorely disappointed and may decide to contact a lawyer.
