Cell C *****

Today I am submitting another review, as I have had no update on the status of the previous submitted review. In Oct 2020, Cell C initiated a DT order on my Bank account without my approval. When I tried to contact their call centre, I got stuck in the automated selections in their PABX. I immediately reversed the DT. At the end of November, they again initiated the DT order, deduction a double premium from my account. This time, I confronted the Cell C staff at the Kolonnade store. I was informed that I accepted a contract and a phone from Cell C in September 2020 – obviously I never did. I was asked to get an affidavit from the police and bank statements from my bank to submit to Cell C so they can investigate the issue. Again, I had to reverse the DT order and ask the bank to cancel the DT order. This is clearly their mistake and it is causing me time and effort to proof that I never signed a contract. Then there is still the issue of the bank charges I had to pay to reverse the DT orders. Till this day, I've had no update from Cell C. The branch confirmed that the documents I submitted will be used to report a ***** case and that they will CC me in the communication. I went back to the branch on Saturday when they confirmed that they cannot provide me with any prove the issue was reported, neither could they provide me copies of the documents I submitted for this case. I responded to an email from a ***** Analyst, but still no one contacted me. The main issue is that Cell C is aware this this happens. The lady at the store even confessed that they are aware that this is happening. Why is it so easy for someone to be able to initiate a DT order on your account and then you have to run around and supply affidavits and bank statements to start the investigation.....after all this, they still do not keep you in the loop or supply a status update. SHOCKING!
