Hi All
So this is what my experience with Cell C fibre.
When calling in to find out the process to cancel they told me it would take 30 days (not calender). I then went on to send through an email of cancellation on the 18th of April my last day being 18th of May. They only got back to on the 26th of April after days of calling to enquire. The email stated that deactivation will be on the 30th of May.
When I get back home in the afternoon on the 26th I see that I have no internet access so I call to enquire and no one can give me an answer. After numerous calls on the 30th of April they tell me that my service has been deactivated. So I say fine, leave it as deactivated and they said ok and that I won't get charged for the month of May. Note that jusy cost me quite a lot of money making calls as well as dats usage.
My new service provider then gets back to me letting me know that they cannot activate my service as cell c needs to be release my line. So I can contact cell c to release my line and they say that they cannot and will only do so on the 30th of May and that they will charge me for the full month. So I tell them you can see it's been deactivated yet you refuse to release the line. So basically no internet but I must pay. They refused to put me through to any managers who were too "busy".
After all the hassles I will advise people to stay away from cell as they seem to be **************** with customers. I also feel they should compensate me for all the expenses I have incurred due to their capabilities.
Best Regards Tanuja
