CELL C FIBRE FREE ROUTER AND INSTALLATION MISLEADING ON MOTH TO MONTH CONTRACTS

DO NOT USE CELL C FIBRE. I requested an immediate cancellation of my fibre line with Cell C. I was on a month to month contract. I have had it since 2018. I was told by a call centre consultant today, when enquiring, that I would need to pay cancellation fees and for a router and installation which I refuse to do. This goes entirely against what was sold to me initially when I started the contract. I was told it was FREE wifi router and that EVEN IF I CANCELLED THE CONTRACT at any time, I would not be liable for any cancellation charges for installation or for the router. This I would argue is highly misleading and I would refer back to recorded calls which Cell C should have on record. Also, I have been a loyal customer since 2018, surely any installation fees would have been paid off ages ago if there were any. Additionally, they owed me a credit of more than R6'000 and only refunded R4'000. I have given up trying to claim it back. As usual Cell C proves to be a poor provider.
