Cell C Fibre Debit Order Cancellation

I had a contract with Cell C Fibre to my home. After a year I decided to use a new service provider and informed Cell C to cancel the Debit Order. This was at the end of June 2019. I commenced with the new service provider who took over the Octatel Fibre line and data management.

It's 3 months later after notification, that cell C is still deducting R 655.01, with the latest being in 25 Sept 2019.

I keep calling, and emailing, to which I get automated responses, but my bank is still being raided by cell c.

This is truly unacceptable especially as it seems to be a pattern, this is why I despise Debit Orders, it's just a licence to companies to de***** you at will.

I feel that Cell C needs credit where they excel and this is as a response to my previous issue with Cell C Fibre charging me beyond my contract period.

I would like to thank the specific gentleman that contacted me to inform me that they matter was escalated. I also got a mail , it did not appear automated, it was more addressing the detail i raised and what Cell C was busy doing to resolve it. This same gentleman promised to call me today ( Monday) to follow up, which he did and reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the matter.

I had also received an email from Cell C Fibre acknowledging the receipt of my previous mails and their error in processing the extra Debit Order, with the instruction that it will be reversed.

I possibly would make the final comment on this matter once the Cancellation and reversal are officially enacted. But for now I say Kudos to the gentleman who assisted, often it is the specific individual you deal with that makes all the difference.
