Cell C Fibre contract

Good day We moved into a brand new complex and Cell C had a promotion of free router+free installation for a month to month contract, this deal sounded perfect as we weren't going to stay long at that complex. So when I sent a mail to advise them that they have to cancel our contract I get an email stating that there's a claw back fee of R 2800 and cancelation fee as this is a 24 month contract!!! I immediately phone the agent that promoted this deal and she confirmed that it's indeed a month to month contract and that it's not a 24 month contract... So I was abit at ease cause the service providers agent confirmed this!! So I phoned and spoke to the manager to dispute this cause this is CRAZY!! So I get a call this afternoon from Cell C and they advised "ma'm you are correct this is a month to month contract, but it's a 24 month subscription" how does this evens make sense?!!! I'm sooo disgusted by this deception cause when this was promoted not once was there any mention of 24 months!!! What's worse and pathetic is that the sales promoter is adamant that she's not aware of 24 months!! How can they be promoting deal, making it sound all 'convenient' but in the meantime no one was transparent!!! I'm so upset at this pathetic customer service that they selling promotions but keeping people liable at the end for a longer period!!
