Cell C, False advertising, dishonest staff and manipulative

Do not apply for contracts from Cell C, they are false advertising deals which you cannot get, the sales team have been instructed to lie to customers who inquir about these devices/contracts and then manipulate people into taking more expensive versions of the contract over the phone.

Currently Cell C advertise the P30 lite 2020 for R269pm x 24. You cannot get this deal, its advertised online and in the June catalog however when you try to apply online there is a device out of stock error message. When you call the sales team they lie and say its for upgrades only or that its out of stock. My mother was manipulated into taking the exact same phone but on a more expensive contract for R359 and amazingly there is stock and the the phone has even been dispatched and out for delivery today.

We have called Cell C and requested a call back and spoke to two separate sales team members who have **** and state that the R269 contract is only for upgrades (If so why is this not displayed on the catalog? "FALSE ADVERTISING") When confronted about this they then lie further and say the phone is out of stock so you could try apply but they dont know if there will be stock again. (How come we can now apply and try get it if it was only an upgrade deal? once again caught in a lie).

We have asked twice that since there clearly is stock and one device is on the way to be delivered why cant the deal/contract price be adjusted to the lower price version and both lie and say they cant do this, cant believe its so difficult to change a package which has not been signed for or activated yet. Absolute bull**** and lies, Cell c is dishonest with customers and does not deserve our business.
