Cell C false advertising and **** month to month contracts

I signed up for a month to month 1GB downlownd fibre contract, i had an existing line, Cell c sent me a router and I Plugged it in and started using it, I have never been able to get the speed i have paid for, after months of testing and sending emails, no one could assist me, I downgraded to a 50mbps line as i only get speeds of 40mbps, i was still not happy and now when trying to cancel the line i am being held to ransom for R4386.10 rand for "Your contract will be terminated on 31/10/2022 and your clawback fee for your account is R4,386.1 which does not include your latest bill." there was no installation at all as there was an existing line, Neo the consultant did not even query this but managed to include it in his bill, the connection fee is apparently for this month but the message clearly states it excludes this months fees, how does an advertised month to month suddenly become a two year contract, there is false advertising on Cell C's behalf that is misleading to clients, beware of this underhanded contracts being advertised as month to month when they fail to provide an advertised service you as the customer must be held to ransom
