Cell C facepalm
I lost my SIM As a contract holder I was told I just have to buy a new SIM, call the call centre and answer some security questions. No problem. Except for the part where I was told my OTP would be SMS'd to me. I have NO SIM card. What was so hard to understand? E-mailing the OTP was not an option. LOL - it's so infuriating that all I can do is laugh. Is it just me???

Kindly be advised for contract sim swap an OTP is sent to a requested number and not the number the sim swap is being processed on.
Did the agent not request the number for the OTP to be sent to ?
Please send the number you want to a sim swap on + the RICA serial number of the non registered sim swap and your contact number .

Unfortunately, our system doesn't provide an option to send the OTP via email however we will consider that. Please note that we need the number where we can send the OTP for our Team to assist, as we can't send the OTP to a land line number.
