Cell-C F-c--D Cooperated Structure
In October last year I had major issues with Cell C that was eventually solved.
Part of the resolve was to go to a month-to-month contract with them. Which according to them at the time I could cancel or Upgrade at any time.
April I have decided to cancel Cell C and go to Vodacom Fibre as it was installed in my area.
Cell C can not cancel the month-to-month as there "Back Office" has decided to make all month-to-month contract 24 month contracts. And should I want to cancel my "contract" pre-maturely I am liable for a cancelation fee R1689.00. This was a sim only contract so no device was received, also using my old sim.
What kind of company can decide to amend a contract without prior consent of both parties. And people or companies that believe by sending a one liner email or SMS constitutes to communication drives me up a wall. Of which I did not receive either from Cell-C in this regard. If you are loosing hand over fist stop all new contracts and only service your old contracts. I do not understand how you sell a product in October as a special just to revoke the terms of the sale in November.
That is shady or ******* businesses practice in my opinion.
I have raised cases with their Cancelation department and they have informed me that a supervisor will phone me. Well in 2 days I am still waiting and when I contacted them, they consider the cases close. *** ***
This is the absolute worsted service provider in SA, Nothing wrong with there product but everything is F-c--d with there cooperate structure.
Well it is probably my fault, like they say Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me !!
I signed a month-to-month contract In October 21 and Cell C decided to Change all month-to-month contracts to 24 month contracts in November 21.
What I do not understand is when I want to cancel they say I have a commitment amount but on my bill is says the following " Your contract has come to an end and you are now on a month to month, or you do not have any device commitment fees remaining on your contract."
Both statement are correct according to me, I am on a month to month and I do not have a device commitment.
So WHHYYY must do I have a commitment fee if I want to cancel.
