CELL C DROPPING THE BALL OVER AND OVER
I contacted Cell C on the 23rd of September to sign up for a contract with you. I first asked for the Galaxy J4, but was told that it was discontinued. Weird that its still on your website and as of today is as well. But anyway.
I then decide ill take the LG K40 that was in your deals booklet for R189 per month. Great, i get through to someone (Mahlomola Mokoena) and he said that we had to submit some papers etc and see if i was approved. Did that, got approved and he read me the contract over the phone and i agreed to it and everything, all was fine. He said i would probably get it in about 2 to 3 days max.
I then waited and waited. The following week i called and got through to someone else who then stated that there was an issue on the dispatch of the device at the warehouse that the previous agent hadn't filled in and that she had rectified it and sent off that to their warehouse. It should arrive soon.
Wait another day or two, call again, get someone that says a similar event whereby there was an error but it was sorted and i can call the following day at 11am to find out where it is and track it.
I call back today. I speak to someone who then tells me straight "youre not getting the phone" No explanation or anything. After pressing and explaining that we already signed up his response remained that the phone was discontinued by LG and that the phone was no longer available EVEN THOUGH YOUR DEALS BOOKLET CAME OUT 2 DAYS AGO WITH THIS PHONE IN IT FOR R199 THIS TIME.
So after getting nowhere slowly, i asked to speak to someone higher up who could give me a straight answer on this. The lady i spoke to then said 2 different things, that the phone was out of stck and that it as discontinued. That when i placed the order, the items were running low on stock and they were out of devices. Then i ask well when will they be back in stock and she tells me that they are now discontinued by LG SA and will no longer be getting stock.
I ask what my options are, and she tries to shove Huawei devices down my throat which i do not want. I want the device i agreed to with a contract for. She then says i need to speak to my original agent to sort something out. I have no direct line to this guy but sent him an email detailing this.
I resign to the fact that this woman is going to be of no help to me and ed the call.
My husband then calls Cell c back to inquire about getting a new contract and asks if the LG K40 is in stock and the lady says, its out of stock BUT WE SHOULD BE GETTING BY NEXT WEEK THURSDAY! She never said, sorry, its been discontinued or anything.
I then call LG South Africa and they have no knowledge of this device being discontinued for the South African Market.
Who should i believe?
Ive been waiting for 2 weeks now for nothing i need a phone,
you better contact me ASAP to work this out. It is beyond ridiculous

No email
No call.
I've tried to carry on with the agent I started with (Mahlomola) we've had to go back and forth so much I don't know where I stand anymore.
At first, after my post, we clarified that the warehouse had contacted him to say that the phone was no longer in their inventory.
He apologized and said he would try and contact some stores near to me to see if they had stock of the phone.
Days passed.
I enquired again on October 4th.
He called and said that he had found a store in Joburg that had stock of the item and he was working with his manager to get it sent down to me.
Great.
All is well it would seem.
But then I get no response since then.
So I emailed again today. To ask what's happening.
So he says that he will call the store as he "no longer has access to the order"
And he will get THEM to call me about progress.
I emailed again because I was troubled by this as I had no direct contact other than the email, no number for the store either.
I had no reference number for any of this.
And the fact that he "no longer had access" to the order was worrying.
Surely your CIM or whatever system you uses should attach the agent to the person starting a contract??
And the fact that no one else contacted me because of this original post is troubling.
Call me.
Email me.
Do something.
I don't care, I want this finished.
