Cell C doesn’t allow you to keep your number
I just got my new iPhone which doesn’t take 2 SIM cards. Some call centre agents have told me that it’s no longer possible to port to my preferred number through the call centre and that I need to go in-store and pay for them to phone the call centre to keep my original number, while others tell me it’s not possible at all. I was not advised of this when taking out my contract and no one who works at Cell C can give me a consistent answer or assist. The managers are never available and don’t call back -and Amanda (the lady I took the contract out with) ignores her email correspondence. If I switch over to any other network they will do this with a smile for me for free. Clearly Cell C doesn’t wish to retain long standing customers. It’s time to cut ties and cancel this relationship. Please come collect the phone - I’m done!
Thank you for contacting Cell C.
