Cell C does not value their existing customers.

I have been a Cell C customer for over 12 years. I did an upgrade in 2019, with no problems, while on debt review. My debt review company assured me, that I could do upgrades, as it's a service provided. I'm due for my upgrade and, have never defaulted on my Cell C accounts or my debt review payments. Cell C informed me today, that I can't upgrade because I'm on debt review! And because one of the accounts under debt review, is in arrears. Well, duh? When I asked the Cell C consultant if this means, I won't be a Cell C customer anymore, his answer was,: "no, it doesn't mean that". So, what does it mean? My contract is going to come to an end, then what? 2 years ago, they upgraded me. I'm trying to upgrade, to a package that will cost less, than my current package. What the hell!?

Good day Stephne

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The Upgrades Policy does not allow us to upgrade customers who are under debt review.

Your contract will run on month to month, should you not cancel it.

In actual fact, I've upgraded 2 contracts with Cell C since being on debt review. My son has a contract that I pay for aswell. Debt review is worked out according to affordability and taking all the persons expenses into account. I've never defaulted with my cellphone accounts, or any accounts since being on debt review. I will not go over onto a month to month contract. Not sure where you would like me to stick the simcards into? My husband will also be canceling his Cell C contracts. He will move all of us over to a service provider that values their customers, once his 3 contracts come to an end in a couple of months. A person would think, that with business the way it is, you guys would hold on to the payin customers you've had for years?
