Cell C - Deceased Estate
Good day
I am the deceased administrator (by POA) in an estate in which the deceased had two contracts with Cell C.
We contacted Cell C requesting guidance as to how to go ahead to (a) cancel the contracts and (b) to switch the two numbers to prepaid. We received an email with the two COB's and a list of the required documentation.
We paid the amounts due and submitted all the documentation with the pop as requested.
Yesterday I was informed by the deceased's spouse (who is the heir and executor) that the lines are blocked. Upon phoning Cell C we were informed that the late Mrs Havenga needs to answer security questions. My oh my - would I love to talk to her and get her to answer the questions!
As I received no help from Katlego, I went to Cell C in Stellenbosch. There I was informed that the manager is not there and I can not be helped. I refused to leave and insisted to be helped. The store assistant then phoned her and she was instructerd to email all the documentation to a certain email address. They requestd ALL the documentation already submitted to the address as we were instructed to do. And then she can follow up in 48 hours!
I then insisted to speak to Mary-Ann's manager who is Tiaan Naude. I explained to him and he promised to phone and get back to me. I have not heard ANYTHING from ANYBODY!
I am shocked by the poor service received - not one of the people helping us (a) offered an apology or (b) offered to sort out the situation.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience caused during this difficult time.
We understand the urgency and sensitivity of handling deceased estate accounts, and it is never our intention to add to an already challenging situation. To ensure we expedite the resolution, we have escalated the matter to our support team for assistance.
Contact will be made soon.

The documentation was sent on 26 Nov, I gave the consultant a full set of copies yesterday in store, I emailed it to Neo ... she phoned again and after telling her it was part of the third email, she opened the email and there it was!
Now another day has passed and the phone numbers are still blocked!!!!

And still no answer - documents sent it to yet another department! That is of no use; the numbers are still blocked.
