Cell C

To say I am dissappointed in a service given by Cell C. I have had a contract with Cell C for close to 20 years, have never once had a debit order returning, for me to experience Cell C not deducting the contract amount from mid to late last year. First time, I paid manually after they closed the phone, mind you this is a contract I took for my elderly mom. I called Cell C after this and I was reassured that this error will not happen again for it to happen in November and once more my moms line was disconnected. I went to Cell C store in Waterfront, Cape Town and the store advised me I am not the only client with the same problem. I was connected with a customer agent who advised that Cell C has changed the service provider for their debit order system and once again I was advised this will be the last time and I must check if the debit order goes through on the 25th November 2021 and lo and behold, Cell C did not debit my account. The account has funds and I have never defaulted on my debit order with Cell C for all these years. They have been debiting the same account since. I once again made a manual payment for an amount of R2 600 and sent through POP and the line was reconnected, for the line to be disconnected as Cell C back office has not allocated the credit to my account. I have since 7th December 2021, sent the same PoP to more than 7 email addresses at Cell C and the phone was never reconnected. I have since cancelled a contract I have had for close to 20 years. I received a call from a Nomusa from Cell C, who like others apologised and acknowledged that she can see the credit but it has not been allocated. This is a credit of 7th December and she called me on the week of 18 January and the amount was yet to be allocated. How does Cell C bill me for a service I never received. I asked them what will happen to the minutes and data that I paid for yet the phone was disconnected. I was told I will forfeit them. This is not the way of ending a relationship that has been had for almost 20 years
