Cell C ******

I submitted a cancellation notice in June 2018 for a contract that terminates on 4 August 2018. I sent monthly reminders which they never responded to, except with the computer generated response that an agent will contact me. Nobody ever did. As I know have problems with speech, my daughter accompanied me to the Cell C shop in Cresta. A very friendly and helpful staff member helped us, and even allowed the use of her phone to speak to the cancellations department to make sure that contract comes to an end at 31 August 2018. I still hold strong that the date should have been 4 August as it was before the magical date of the 7th of the month. Guess what? To day I received an email stating that because I did not cancel, the account will be cancelled by end of September 2018 should they receive a cancellation notification. Does this not smack of blatant *****?
