Cell C - ****py Service from a ****py Network

Had a Cell C 2 year contract where i was paying R20 per month. In May - at the end of the term - the contract was 'changed' or 'upgraded' to a R50 per month option - of which I was not informed nor did I give permission for. I called in and cancelled the contract. At the end of July I get charged R65. The call centre agent informed me that the debit order amount was changed AGAIN - which Cell C has the right to do. Again - no email/invoice/notification was sent FOR A CANCELLED CONTRACT.

The arrogant call centre agent then tells me she is doing me a favour by tolerating my call.

Very interesting the way CellC works. I am sure the Ombudsman will be very interested in looking at this

Got a call and email from a Maropeng Motana who said: 1. There are some hidden reconciliations from CellC which was in my statement (which I have not been receiving from 1 year ago; which was supposed to be fixed) 2. I cant get copies of recordings (which I am entitled to by law) because it is 'owned' by CellC. I am only 'allowed' to listen to the recordings at a CellC shop. Transgression of FAIS and Consumer Protection act !!!!!! My attorney will handle this from here on

The consultant can play the recording for you or you can listen to the recording at the store.

Maybe you should train your consultants properly and adhere to the prescribed law, as CellC claims that recordings can be made available on request. Are you prepared to deny that claim?
