Cell C Contracts in Arrears

I have 2 CellC contracts on mobile number *** and another one is a Wifi router. I have been unemployed since 2017. My husband and I are in debt counselling since then to be able to live. My account is in arrears and is with Legal. The debt has been escalating and I am afraid I will not be able to pay since I'm still not working. I made a payment arrangement which I cannot even afford and I did phone Cell C numerous times about this. The wifi router contract is now continuing month by month. When I tried to cancel it, I was told I have to pay over R9000 first, which I do not have. I was told I could not cancel it. I deposit R150/R100 when I have a little bit of money. When I asked Cell C if this debt could go under debt counselling, Cell C told me I could place the debt under debt review. However, when I phone my debt counsellors, they say they do not deal with Service Providers.

I emailed Cell C Legal on 14 July 2020 regarding my concern of the growing debt. I got an SMS with a reference number *** but since then no one has given me feedback. When I phone Cell C, I am told the Legal person is working from home due to the lockdown and has a backlog. I am concerned the debt will keep on growing and now I would like to settle it because Cell C has not been able to stop the debt from growing. I have had to beg and borrow from relatives/friends so that I can cancel this debt. Cell C better assist and consider the fact that I have tried so many times to sort this issue out. I think it is unacceptable to have to wait for over 2 months to have a query resolved.
