Cell C contract cancellation
I canceled a contract with Cell C and they continued debiting my account after cancellation. I reversed each subsequent debit order and was alarmed to discover that negative information was provided by Cell C to the credit bureau; showing my account being in arrears. I then called Cell C call centre to rectify the incorrect information and this query was followed up with security questions to verify my account. One of the questions was "do you have a Cell c contract?" To which I answered yes, only to be told that I failed the security questions because I answered that question incorrectly! The call centre agent then insisted that I call back with the correct information, and I then told her that this question was what was in dispute... she continuously insisted that I call back and I then asked her to call me back and she refused. I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she then proceeded to say that they will call me back... I responded by saying that you didn't take my number down to call me back and she then quotes my Cell C number which has been cancelled and I had to remind her that this contract number is cancelled. As a paying customer I found the service abysmal and the attitude and understanding of the service agent lacking in every regard.
It is unfortunate that service providers can operate with impunity and even more alarming that they can provide incorrect information to credit bureaus which negatively impacts customers due to their incompetency!!!
Furthermore, if the claim is that I owe money on the contract, how is it possible that according to your records; when conducting the security verification questions, that yourll say I don't have a contract with Cell C?
So in one breath Cell C claims that I have a contract which is in arrears but your records also indicate that I don't have a Cell C contract... implausible and impossible.
I have indicated that I did reverse a few debit orders AFTER cancellation.
I advise your'll to resolve this matter immediately and provide the credit bureau with the correct information or alternatively provide me with information so I can escalate this matter.
It is quite clear that yourll have serious administration issues which needs to be resolved internally instead of passing the buck onto the consumer and loyal PAYING customers like myself!
It is also rather unprofessional to attempt to call me out on a public platform saying that my account is in arrears and leave it at that... I have proof of unauthorised debit orders from your side and reversal of debit orders made by myself...
Furthermore your call centre supervisor has not returned my call to verify or dispute any of my complaints.
Pull up your socks, stop pointing fingers and do an internal investigation before making statements.... I would also like to be provided with the recording of call whereby the cancellation was made by myself because you seem to be leaving out that important piece of information but choose to say that my account was not paid???
Yes, the account was not paid AfTER CANCELLATION!!!
