Cell C continues to fail its customers

I refer you to my two previous submissions via this channel (15/2 and 2 /3) and your case ref ***. Connectivity remains at unacceptably low levels. No connection almost all of Saturday. No connection Sunday until 1200. No connection Monday until approx 1300 and the usual up and down connections this morning (when connected this morning – download speeds of < 1 Mbps). Too frequently, despite all indicators on my hardware showing that I’m connected, there’s no connection/web pages access/downloads (and add to that far too frequent “no connection to server" for email traffic and frequently dropped connections in voice and whatsapp calls). Since you started roaming via the MTN & Voda networks, connectivity success rates have slumped and I wonder if you are being shafted by them as regards dedicated bandwidth allocated for Cell c users. You know; just as I’m not getting bang for my buck so perhaps, you aren’t either

I’m sure that your bosses are aware of the outcome of the My Broadband Best Network survey for 2020 (https://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadband/373748-south-african-isps-ranked-on-value-network-quality-and-support.html) but has it been included in the recovery plan and has it filtered down to the engine room? In summary, Cell C ranks 10th overall out of 14 ISPs and 12 out 14 for Network Reliability .... why am I not surprised? Based on performance so far this year, you’re going to slip further in the 2021 survey

Further, despite the “positive” comments by your CFO in https://www.itweb.co.za/content/mYZRXv9awN6vOgA8, so far on the ground, that is for consumers, no visible improvement

Here are some posts in FB page Edenvale Hub last week:

1. Evening all, does anyone have contact details for someone at Cell C who is actually willing to assist with consistently poor cell service as well poor service support through the call centre? Thanks in advance, cheers 2. Last resort Hellopeter. That works 3. If they ***gy back off of vodacom towers then your problem is here to stay! After having endless no/low signal with vodacom they called me to tell me that there are too many users on the networks post covid and these issues are here to stay indefinitely. FYI mtn doesn’t seem to have these issues 4. i have had same issue. 5. I was told yesterday that they using Mtn towers but my phone shows vodacom and poor poor signal 6. Cell see is useless with their service. I have an account issue and to get a response from them had to complain on their FB page. Eventually some guy with serious attitude phoned and was the most unhelpful person i have ever spoken to. I will now have to go to a store to sort this issue out. Why should we have to go out our way for something they should be able to sort out via email or phone. Useless bunch. 7. Since the migration i have 4 contracts for the family and we have had nothing but issues. No signal poor signal and yet the Vodafone and man contact is working fine. Pure frustration. 8. FB member A to member B same **** that you're having with Cell C. How embarrassing to know so many of their customers are frustrated and furious and there is nothing been done or communicated about it ! 9. Member B Cell c member are getting 2nd rate signal from Vodacom. We are roaming on their network, so Vodacom uses get priority and cell c contracts come 2nd. I have put a Vodacom contract phone next to mine they get signal and I don’t. Please explain that cell c. My business is boosting the cell network. 98% of my installs are for Vodacom .

Reviewer Update
I received a call on my mobile at 1520. Almost immediately, caller signal started breaking up with partly garbled incoming and partly just silence. Call continued for approx, Call ran for 3 mins & 5 sec and then either dropped or was cut by the caller. A typical experience.
So what now?

Update. Caller (Balesa?) came back to me at 1531 and this time we got a good connection without any breaks. Outcome is that issue will be escalated re which I trust that there will be feedback (there hasn't been on previous occasions that "first responder" has eccalated). She said that record on her side shows that there was a recent response call but "they couldnt connect with me". Was there a follow up? can I assume that that issue is still running and that another attempt will me made to connect with me? No - based on previous experience in this regard. What kind of service is that?
