Cell C continually debits account after cancelling contract

On 15 April 2024 I sent an email *** requesting the cancellation of my 2 contracts. (1 voice and 1 data contract) Both contracts were running month to month. The debit order for the data contract duly stopped as expected, However, the samee cannot be said for the voice contract.

As I sent request/notice for cancellation mid April the final debit order should have been 27 May. I then requested my bank (Discovery) to stop any possible future debit orders from Cell C.. I have since learned that this is an impossibility as Discovery will stop the debit order on the reference number, but Cell C do not use a fixed reference number. Since June Cell C had debited my account 11 times and I have stopped and reversed the debit order 11 times.

I did resend the email on 23/08 and I will send another on completion of this review..

No wonder Cell C is failing!!
