Cell C: completely unreachable, unhelpful, and unacceptable

I am extremely disappointed with Cell C’s customer service and the complete lack of urgency in resolving my issue.

I have been trying to contact them about two matters:

1. a technical problem with paging on my contract this month, and 2. cancelling my contract now that it has expired so I can move to prepaid.

I went to the store in person, only to be told they cannot assist and can only phone customer care. That turned into a waste of time. The first call ended with the consultant hanging up. The second said my security details were supposedly incorrect. The third call was meant to be followed up, but nothing happened. It has now been three days. I have also sent emails in an effort to get this sorted, but still no proper response.

I am willing to pay what is due for this month, but it is unacceptable that a customer is expected to keep paying while the company makes no real effort to assist. Basic communication should not be this difficult.

What makes this worse is the disrespect shown to a paying customer who is simply trying to resolve a legitimate issue. At this point, I am left with HelloPeter as the only way to get attention, which is embarrassing for a company that should be able to handle its own customer service properly.

Cell C needs to do better. Much better.

Thank you for your response. Based on several past experiences, I don't have much faith that Cell C representatives could possibly coordinate sending an email to schedule a call. I understand that such a request is far to difficult to achieve. As such, I will keep an eye out for that number you mentioned.

9 messages deep just to understand simple concerns. Cell C, resolving the issue was a pleasure. Getting to the point where it could be resolved was lengthy and frustrating, necessitating a Hello Peter complaint, ample clarification for simple things, and your own business mechanisms or communication channels apparently failing.
