I am extremely dissatisfied with the recent service received from Cell C.
I recently upgraded my Cell C contract at Cell C Pavilion branch. I am on an unlimited 10G contract.
Last month upon receipt of my invoice, I noticed I was incorrectly billed and charged R2600 for promotional data. I contacted Cell C to query this and was told a credit will be passed. I then told the agent, I did not want a credit, I wanted the money refunded into my bank account. Spoke to a supervisor based in Johannesburg by the name of Nokwanda who advised that Cell C has my banking details and on 1 July the money will be refunded into my bank account.
5 July, no funds were returned, I then contacted Cell C and spoke to Lauren in the Durban branch who was extremely helpful in following up the query and escalating it to the finance department.
This morning 09 July, I receive a call from a lady by the name of Confidence who says that I now only have a credit of R200 on my account as Cell C have used that credit to pay for my July billing. I then asked her why am I being billed R2200 instead of R999 subscription amount of my new contract. She says the higher amount is due to a pro rated amount and she will escalate this to the credit department a d try to negotiate a credit for the pro rated amount.
Firstly, nobody authorized Cell C to use the credit for my July invoice.
Secondly, all of a sudden a credit for the pro rated amount can be negotiated...although she cannot tell me what is the pro rated amount...this is very strange to me....does anyone know what is actually going on or is Cell C just allowed to play with our money as they see fit?
My original request was for my funds that were incorrectly debited by Cell C last month to be refunded to my bank account, not to be used for future billing. It was not your money to take in the first place. I have been given the run around for a month now and I need this to be rectified today. According to Confidence, I can expect a response within 24-48 hours of her escalating this to the credits department. That is not good enough, I have been patient for a month now and have been given the run around and different information from every consultant I have spoken to.
It's been 2 days and still no response
Best regards,
