Cell C Centurion Mall. "There's nothing we can do"

I recently went to upgrade my contract at the Cell C Centurion Mall branch, but due to people either not knowing what to do OR lack of interest, I have missed yet another blatant sign of how *********** service provider staff could be. On Sunday 26 May 2024 I went into the store to see what upgrades were available to me.

On an advert stuck on the window was an "in-store" promotion of the Realme note 50 phones that ended on 3 June 2024.

On Monday 27 May I went into the store requesting 3 of these promotional items and the consultant confirmed that all was in order. She then went to her "Manager" who advised that the devices had not been delivered and it "should" be in store before the promotion ended.

They assured me that the devices "should" be delivered by Monday3 June 2024 and would keep me updated with their progress,but like usual the customer has to do the follow ups.

Needless to say, (and from total stupidity on my part) I believed them. I enquired what would happen if the stock did not arrive on time when I was told... " ahh then its bad luck, there is nothing we can do about it " when the promotion ends.

PLEASE STOP THE FALSE ADVERTI*****TS. Be honest with your customers, it's probably going to be difficult, but it will be a new experience and worthwhile in the long run.

Like usual, some Cell C's employees had proven themselves to be totally unreliable and not trustworthy at all.

I have spoken to a consultant at the"head Office" who told me that they still had 339 devices available.

Even the "Statements" and "Values" on the Cell C web site should be re-evaluated,, take out the lies & rather leave it blank, this way the current customers won't expect anything more than 'nothing'.

I would be amazed if this issue actually gets addressed with me directly but being a Cell C customer, i am not in any way or form hopeful or confident that it would be escalated.
